Welcome Our New Organ
November 23, 2025
The session has made the unanimous decision to replace our old faithful Allen organ of 42 years with a state of the art digital model. The new organ is given to the Glory of God in honor of Joan Watters by her grateful Rockport Church family and by Pastor Walters and Teresa in memory of their parents. It will be heard in worship for the first time on November 23 - Christ the King Sunday in the Christian church calendar. Christ the King Sunday marks the culmination of the Church Year with a new Church Year beginning with Advent on November 30.
The new organ has the digital and technical capabilities to reproduce the sounds of the world's finest pipe organs. It will enhance our worship services with the sounds of chimes during our Call to Worship, harp for our prayer time, celesta for our children's time and Zimbelstern - a German word meaning "Voices of the Angels" for a collection of small bells heard during times of celebration.

Come join us to meet the organ as we Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord in the words of Psalm 100!

Organ Dedication & Celebration of Music Ministry
December 21, 2025 at 10 am

Please join us for a special worship service where we will dedicate our new organ and honor Joan Watters for her seven decades of faithful music ministry. Whether you have known Joan for years or are part of our wider community, we welcome you to share in this meaningful moment.
In place of a traditional sermon, we will spend time in gratitude, hearing brief reflections from those who have sung in Joan’s children’s, adult, or bell choirs, or participated in her cantatas.
Following the service, everyone is invited to a fellowship luncheon as we continue the celebration together. We look forward to gathering with all who appreciate music, community, and the lasting impact of Joan’s seven decades of faithful ministry.
Verse of the Month
Hebrews 13:1-9

Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it. Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have, for he himself has said, "I will never leave you or forsake you." So we can say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?" Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Through him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name. Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
